Q4 Proposal

For the Quarter 4 I want to once again fish. Fishing has become a new hobby of mine. my knowledge of fishing has increased as well as the amount of fish i have been catching.

Tod holding a fish on his fly rod and me catching a fish on a spin cast rod.
A lot has happened since i have began my fishing career. I have progressed from catching 1-2 fish in a day to 10-12. Fishing has become increasingly more fun now that i have the hang of it. I also bought another type of fishing rod. I bought a fly fishing rod over break with Todd Bracket. Fly fishing is different than regular fishing because fly fishing emulates the bugs in the water, as apposed to critters or fish in the water that are represented by spin cast fishing. Fly fishing is more technical than spin cast fishing but the rewards pay off. Fly fishing is also used in different types of water. Fly fishing is usually done in rivers where as spin casting is usually done in ponds or lakes. Fly fishing to me is way more entertaining, you do not just reel in fish like you do with a spin cast rod. when fly fishing you have to tug on the line every once and awhile to emulate the movement of a big either on top of the water or under the water depending on the type of fly you are using.

Another thing about fishing that is unlike any other sport is that when you talk to someone about fishing you always exchange information. You exchange story's and spots to fish. Todd showed me old wayland reservoir on rice road in Wayland. The fishing here is fun and allows you to catch many small fish through the day. We had been fishing for 2 hours and each caught 12 fish. This place i will not forget and i will make sure that i show anyone learning to fish this spot.

Time Plan, Project.

I want to switch houses for a full 24 hours for one school night at sometime through the first quarter. My plan is to switch houses with peter scarpato one night to see what life is like in someone elses shoes to further my understanding about other peoples lives.

Q1
This experience has been extremely eye opening. As some of my classmates may know peter loves to exaggerate. Through experience I have found out that most of these stories are true. Peters parents make him get up early and do task consisting of weeding, dishes, sorting the recycling, laundry, cleaning his room and homework on the weekends. I do one or two of these things at my house but it was surly an increase of work from my regular schedule. Peter’s parents are definitely harder on him than my parents are on me. My mom also does something that I took for granite all my life. My mom makes breakfast for me every morning, however peters parents do not. Breakfast at home is a life save, especially when I am running late for school. Peter definitely lives a harder life than I do in terms of physical work. Our lives are harder in different ways. Peter’s parents make him do more work. My parents make me do more in terms of athletics. I have athletic commitments almost everyday, sometimes 2 a day. The weirdest part of the whole experience was trying to fall asleep in someone else’s bed. Something about falling asleep in the same sport that someone else does every night didn’t feel right. It felt empty. The easiest way to describe how I felt about sleeping in peters bed was that it felt like peters bed knew that I was not him. The second weirdest part of the experience was waking up. It was startling, waking up in a place where you are familiar with, but not waking up there was interesting. It was odd and hard to explain.
